Frequently Asked Questions
Clear public answers about programs, placement, WorkKeys, CTSOs, visits, and who to contact.
Choosing and joining a program.
Who can take a QCCTC program?
QCCTC serves QCSD students who meet current scheduling, eligibility, prerequisite, and placement requirements. Because those requirements can change, families should confirm current eligibility with the student's school counselor or QCCTC Student Services.
What grade can a student begin?
The site intentionally does not publish a fixed grade rule unless it is officially confirmed for the current scheduling cycle. Grade placement varies by current QCSD scheduling and program requirements.
How does a student express interest?
Explore the programs, speak with the student's counselor or Student Services, and use the public Program Interest Form. Final placement is confirmed by QCSD staff.
What is Program I versus Program II?
Program I is the first part of the program sequence. Program II continues the sequence with deeper application and includes QCCTC's WorkKeys readiness/testing process.
Can a student switch programs?
Changes depend on schedule availability, sequence requirements, seat availability, and the student's current plan. Contact the counselor or Student Services.
WorkKeys, CTSOs, and support.
What is ACT WorkKeys at QCCTC?
QCCTC Program II students participate in career-readiness work connected to Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents. This public site explains the process; individual student data is protected.
What are CTSOs?
Career and Technical Student Organizations support leadership, teamwork, service, competition, and professional growth. QCCTC programs connect with SkillsUSA, FFA, HOSA, and Educators Rising.
Who helps if a student is struggling or needs support?
The Student Services Coordinator supports readiness, interventions, transition/placement, and program-success follow-up in coordination with appropriate staff.
Are student scores or records available on Meet QCCTC?
No. Student rosters, WorkKeys results, NCCER/AET student records, referrals, interventions, and other protected information remain in secure role-based systems.
Getting connected.
Can a family or community group tour QCCTC?
Use the Request a Tour form. QCCTC will review the request and coordinate appropriate timing and program access.
How can a business or community organization help?
Partnership opportunities can include advisory service, guest speaking, career exposure, workplace learning, tours, equipment/resource support, and other program connections.
Who should I contact for a general question?
Start with the Administrative Assistant/front office at 662-326-7070. Student pathway questions can be routed to Student Services; leadership and partnership questions to the CTE Director.
